Back in 2015, I wrapped up a long run developing software for storm chasing and video streaming. I had just completed work on VideoMover, a forward-looking solution for store-and-forward and live video delivery. But the market shifted. Streaming platforms exploded, and suddenly everyone was doing what I had already built years earlier. It was time for a new chapter.
So like Elvis with his guitar, I stepped offstage—only instead of rock 'n' roll, I turned my attention to something that had always pulled at my curiosity: the quantum world.
Now I’m back—this time at the helm of QuantumLaso, LLC, proudly based in Oklahoma. We're the first quantum computing company in the state, and every line of code, every design decision, and every breakthrough has come from thousands of hours of solo development, deep research, and relentless exploration.
What I’m building now is fueled by true quantum entropy, not classical imitation. It’s innovation from the ground up—rooted in the wild unpredictability of nature itself. And it’s only just getting started. Now, the QuantumStorm is my new gig!
🔍 What Is QuantumStorm?
QuantumStorm is a revolutionary weather forecasting tool that combines NOAA's high-resolution atmospheric data with Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG)-injected Monte Carlo simulations. Developed for broadcast meteorology, emergency operations, and scientific research, it creates ultra-realistic tornado ensemble forecasts that visualize probability zones with quantum-level entropy precision.
With just one click, stations can view dynamic tornado ensemble maps directly powered by:
✅ Live QRNG feeds from USB devices (CryptaLabs QCicada, PCIe, or Quside S1)
✅ Cloud-based entropy pools for high availability
✅ Classical PRNG fallback for baseline comparison
⚙️ What Makes It Different?
Classical Simulations | QuantumStorm Simulations |
Uses pseudo-random values (PRNG) | Injects true quantum randomness (QRNG) |
Ensemble outputs follow seeded noise patterns | Ensembles reflect nondeterministic uncertainty |
Difficult to personalize per station | Customizable branding and interface |
Limited viewer interactivity | Real-time sliders for Temp, Wind, Entropy |
Static forecast zones | Dynamic, regenerable simulations |
Quantum randomness allows the ensemble spread to better reflect real-world uncertainty—ideal for tornado alley forecasts where unpredictability is the rule.
🎥 Built for Broadcast: First Look for local TV stations
QuantumStorm was prototyped with a local TV station in mind. The branded demo includes:
